South Florida homes feature some of the most beautiful natural stone installations in the country. Marble foyers, travertine pool decks, limestone countertops, and terrazzo floors are defining features of Florida luxury living. But our climate is uniquely harsh on natural stone.
Constant humidity causes calcium deposits to form on stone surfaces. Sand and grit tracked in from beaches act like sandpaper under foot traffic, creating micro-scratches that dull the finish. Acidic substances from pool chemicals, citrus, and cleaning products cause etching that appears as dull spots and rings on polished surfaces.
Most homeowners try to address this with store-bought marble cleaners or polish products. These provide a temporary surface coating that wears off quickly and can actually trap dirt beneath a waxy film. True marble restoration requires mechanical polishing with calibrated diamond abrasives to physically refinish the stone surface.

Mirror-Finish Restoration
We restore marble to a reflective, glass-like finish that makes your entire space look brand new.

Dramatic Transformations
Etching, scratches, and years of wear disappear completely with our professional diamond polishing process.
Our Professional Stone Polishing Process
Stone Identification & Assessment
We identify your specific stone type (marble, travertine, limestone, terrazzo, granite) and assess the current condition including scratches, etching, cracks, and lippage. This determines the starting grit and process.
Diamond Honing (Scratch & Etch Removal)
Using progressively finer diamond abrasive pads on weighted floor machines, we mechanically remove the damaged surface layer. This eliminates scratches, etch marks, stains, and uneven wear patterns.
Diamond Polishing (Shine Restoration)
Continuing through finer diamond grits, we build up the stone's natural reflectivity. For marble, this creates the signature mirror-like finish. For travertine, we can achieve either a honed matte or semi-polished satin look per your preference.
Grout Line Restoration
Stone floor grout lines are cleaned, repaired if needed, and color-matched. This detail work frames each tile and contributes significantly to the overall appearance of the finished floor.
Sealing & Protection
A premium impregnating sealer is applied that penetrates the stone to protect against staining and moisture without changing the appearance. This invisible protection lasts 2-3 years and is essential in Florida's climate.

How do you polish marble without damaging it?
We use a multi-step diamond abrasive process that gradually refines the stone surface. Starting with coarser grits to remove scratches and etching, we progress through finer grits until the marble achieves a mirror-like finish. No harsh chemicals are used. This is the same process used on high-end hotel lobbies and luxury residences.
Can you fix etching and water stains on marble?
Yes. Etching from acidic substances like citrus, wine, or vinegar-based cleaners is one of the most common marble problems we fix. Our diamond honing process removes the etched layer and restores the smooth, polished surface. Water rings and mineral deposits are also fully removable.
How often does marble need professional polishing?
For residential marble floors, we recommend professional polishing every 1 to 3 years depending on foot traffic. High-traffic areas like foyers and kitchens may need annual service. Marble countertops in kitchens should be polished every 1 to 2 years due to exposure to acidic foods and liquids.
Do you work with travertine and other natural stones?
Absolutely. We specialize in all natural stones including travertine, limestone, terrazzo, slate, and granite. Each stone has unique characteristics that require specific techniques. Our technicians are certified in natural stone care and will customize the approach to your specific material.
What is the difference between honing and polishing marble?
Honing produces a matte or satin finish by smoothing the stone with diamond abrasives but stopping before the high-gloss stage. Polishing continues the process to achieve a reflective, mirror-like finish. Many clients prefer honed travertine for a natural look and polished marble for a luxury appearance. We can achieve either finish.
